For My Legionaries: Fascism, Monarchy and Orthodoxy

Book Club discussion with guest Momcilo Nevesky on Corneliu Codreanu and the Iron Guard
1

When I first started book club, the plan was to read books that were written by authors within my circle of contacts so that I could them on for a live Q&A after we finish the readings. Since it has taken on a different approach as we ventured into more historical works, I thought why not just bring on an expert on the subject covered in the reading material?

Momcilo’s name was dropped several times throughout our readings as the expert on the Iron Guard and as it turns out, we have a close mutual friend who you all may know as well,

. Thank you to Conrad for putting us in contact. Although I have very limited knowledge on this subject, I really enjoyed this discussion with Momcilo and am grateful that he joined us to share his knowledge.

Towards the middle of our discussion, I let the group take over and share their thoughts, questions and challenges with this book and I ended up equally enjoying the talk as a listener, so I hope you do too.

Check out more from Momcilo on his YouTube channel and on X.

What’s happening in the Book Club community Discord:
If you haven’t joined our book club yet, now is a great time since we have opened it up to other members who want to volunteer hosting book readings that will run alongside our main selections.

Starting this week we have a member who will be hosting a reading of David McGowan’s excellent book “Programmed to Kill: The Politics of Serial Murder” while we prepare for our next main selection.

If you haven’t joined already, you can gain full access to my entire archive of work here on Substack along with an invite to our active Discord community where we host weekly discussions and other live events.

Join today for $7. I hope to see you in there!
