This was great, any chance you will go a little deeper into what you said at the end about Bitcoin being an “AI Killer” or a network. Sorry I came into this under the new narrative.

It involves proof of work, immutability and scarcity - all the antithesis of AI generated slop

Great topic and discussion.

What I agree with:

- you've identified the corruption of Bitcoin's narrative.

- the cult-like idolatry that is being used to do that (AI slop as you called it).

- the mis-framing of SoV and MoE monetary properties/uses.

What I disagree with:

- your use and framing of "Bitcoin Maximalism". A loaded and ambiguous term.

- your praise of Monero I think is misplaced.

- many technical inaccuries (I'm no expert but I can provide some counter arguments).

- citing Roger Ver's _Hijacking Bitcoin_ without citing the counter positions. _The Blocksize War_ by Jonathan Bier is a good resource.

I don't want to be that kind of reply guy that says "just read what I've read" but I do highly recommend the writing of Nozomi Hayase (also on substsck) and Gigi (https://dergigi.com/).

I'd be interested to hear what you think of their material.

Bitcoin is not a technology. Cryptocurrency is the technology. Bitcoin is the name of the book being printed, the name of a ledger. That ledger, and the software and hardware used to make it work, along with do a human input, are the technology. If monks make their own cryptocurrency and maintained the equipment, then your analogy would be water tight. But there isn't such a cryptocurrency or mining center. And I'm not sure monastics should be minters simply it because it has no historical precedent that ive heard. Maybe it would be ok, but this is already hypothetical. An orthobro coin seems more suitable to me.
