If we love our enemies then our enemies cease to become enemies and we do not need to discern between friend and foe. If we put on the armor of God what is powerful enough to harm us?
It is unfortunate that people have used their souls to harm others, whether directly or ignorantly doing the bidding of others. But I feel as though fear is not a fruit of the spirit and not the correct way to approach this. Our soul is part of our nature and we do not need to fear using it. God is with us.
